Senior Awards Assembly

The annual senior’s award assembly is coming up Monday May 8th, 2017. It is hosted by the teachers at Star City High School. It will be in the high school auditorium at two o’clock.

This is a time to recognize the seniors for their accomplishments they have had in high school. Parents and family members are welcome to come watch their child. It is for everything that has happened over the last school year.

Many students have worked very hard this year and are going to be rewarded for it. If the students are a completer in FCCLA, Biomedical, Engineering, East, and other areas you will be recognized for this. A completer is after completing three years in that course. Fourth year biomedical students will receive their lab coats that are monogrammed with their names on it.

Colleges will be here to let students sign that have received an institutional or private scholarship from that university. The University of Monticello is always here. Depending on if the other colleges have a conflict determines if they will come.

The staff at Star City High School is very encouraging of the students. They want to see them succeed. The seniors are ready to graduate and start their new lives. Some will be going to colleges, technical schools, or to work. Whatever their journey is we all hope they succeed. This assembly is one of the last things to recognize them at school for what they did their last and final year of high school.
