SCHS Students Prepare to Attend MASH

M.A.S.H is an all expense paid program that allows high school juniors and seniors to shadow health professionals and attend workshops that enhances their experience in the healthcare field. MASH students also participate in dissections, CPR training, casting, a UAMS tour, and allowing first-hand experience in a variety of health care environments.

It is a day only program; no housing facilities will be included. We are responsible for our own transportation everyday. MASH is designed for above-average students interested in health care as a career, and it's summer programs are held throughout the state. Each MASH program is organized locally, calling on whatever resources are available to expose students to a variety of health care fields. Private-practice doctors, dentists, ambulance services, emergency medical technicians and even veterinarians volunteer their time and facilities.

In my opinion I feel like this experience with shape me into one day an intelligent and well educated Nurse. I hope to gain as much knowledge from this program as possible and use it to my advantage. I feel like me entering this program, I will have gain a insight on the real world of a nurse.
