Student Choice Academy

The recent buzz around school centers on the new options for classes next year. Students will have the opportunity to enroll in the "Student Choice Academy" which will offer virtual classes as well as blended classes. Blended classes are virtual classes that are paired with on campus teachers. Students interested in these classes have to fill out a form and be approved.

Many science classes are moving to Virtual Arkansas. According to Mrs. Harrison, science teacher, offering the classes online could cause students to "miss out on the classroom interaction" but pairing students with actual on campus teachers will help avoid that issue.

Senior Morgan Newton is glad she's graduating before the changes take place because she does not enjoy taking classes on Virtual Arkansas. Underclassmen are curious about the changes but many are optimistic.
