On October 18th, Star City’s very own FFA club started a 16 hour pursuit to Indianapolis Indiana for the National FFA Convention. Star City had the honor to be invited to attend this national convention and expo October 19-22. The last time Star City attended a national level convention was four years prior. Students who were enabled to attend had to be a part of either a judging team or a livestock show team. Costs for each student was four hundred and twenty-five dollars plus spending money. Each student raised their own money to cover costs.
While at the convention students participated in many events. While some events were all work, such as classes, other events was all fun. Students attended a concert for Cole Swindell and Chris Young. Creating a perfect environment for the students to bond. Not all events were connected to the convention, students also visited the second largest cross in the world and a family owned orchid farm.
