Gibson Warren Morgan, a highly acclaimed rising star in the world of music. “From a young age I’ve always been involved in music and it was always played around my house. To me it was only a natural progression to pursue music.” he said. Since a young age he has been around music from elementary school all the way to high school, his father is also a musician.
In the coming summer he plans on releasing a full album consisting of a combination of folk and bluesy vibes. He is going to go on a small tour this summer to promote the upcoming album. “The idea started with looking at how buskers, otherwise known as “street musicians” play their shows. It’s informal and still enticing to passersby. I wanted to take that format one step further and add in lights and a real music crew. So I’ve gathered a band and a crew to help me take my show on the road and realize this vision.” he said.
I asked him about how he felt about his upcoming tour and album release and he replied with, “Really really excited and, to be fair, a little overwhelmed. Even now, months before we start, there is so much time and thought being spent on the whole deal. People have schedules, money is tight, booking is tough and different, and I’m finishing an album while doing all that.”
I also asked him if he would be willing to do a tour similar if things go well and he told me, “If things go well, I’ll be back on the road or back in the studio soon after to start it all over again. I think this will be met with success. I love writing and I know I’ll be back again in some form to continue producing music. But of course, I’m always changing my style and image. Could be something completely different next time around.”
